DESCRIPTION:Join 826LA for Poetry in the Park\, a joyful potluck gathering at the Mar Vista Recreation Center on Saturday\, Sept. 21\, from 1-3 PM where participants can partake in fun outdoor activities and a poetry writing workshop led by a West LA-based writer Heidi Lepe. \n\n\n\nThis event is intended to be a beginning of the year social mixer to celebrate the return of our regular programming! Everyone is welcome. Event activities include:\n\n\n\nPoetry writing workshop\n\nPotluck-style picnic\n\nConnect4/Jenga/Volleyball/Cornhole\n\nSidewalk chalk \n\nDrawing/coloring books  \n\n\n\nWe welcome everyone to share delicious food from their culture (or a timeless classic)\, but please be sure to make others aware of common food allergens.\n\n\n\n*Please note that although there will be tables present at the park\, we recommend bringing any picnic blankets or chairs you may need for your group based on your preference.
