What is the relationship between aesthetic and our craft? Whether the poet is aware of it or not\, each of us carries an underlying purpose to our work&mdash\;though sometimes we don&rsquo\;t have the tools or vision to understand what that is\, and/or why we gravitate to reading and writing the poems we do. In this workshop\, we will aim to find those tools\, obtain that vision\, and tighten up a few poems along the way.
\n\nThis workshop will take place via Zoom. An invite to the Zoom meeting will go out shortly before it takes place.
\n\nOn both days\, participants will bring two original poems AND one poem of another poet'\;s that really revs their poetic engine to share with the group. A constructive critique of each poet'\;s work will also commence with the goal to strengthen the relationship between personal aesthetic and craft.
\n\nEric Morago is a Pushcart Prize nominated poet who believes performance carries as much importance on the page as it does off. He is the author of What We Ache For and Feasting on Sky. Currently Eric hosts a monthly reading series\, teaches writing workshops\, and is editor-in-chief and publisher of Moon Tide Press. He has an MFA in Creative Writing from California State University\, Long Beach\, and lives in Los Angeles\, CA.
