Also at the library were exciting demonstrations of capoeira\, a Brazilian martial art. A ten minute walk north from the library was the popular pedestrian street Park Place which was a hub of community art events as neighbors opened their doors offering food and pop up galleries. Dynamic songstress Apryll Aileen and Friends sang their hearts out. The newly opened Mystic Journey Gallery was packed with guests interested in crystals\, meditation and yoga. \n \n\nThe September art crawl will have events at G2 Gallery\, 1503 Abbot Kinney Blvd\; Hama Sushi\, 213 Windward Ave\; Venice Abbot Kinney Branch Library\, 501 Venice Boulevard\; iPhone Photo Art Show at the Sunny Bak Studio\, 2214 Pacific Avenue\; ARTravenous\, live performance\, poetry\, paintings\, rants and music at Canal Club\, 2025 Pacific Avenue and more locations to follow. \n \n\nThe Venice Art Crawl is still looking for artists and venues for the September 21 event.
