We hope you'll drop by and say 'Hi'. \n\n\n\n\n\n \nJust a reminder of who we are:\n\nThe Venice Oceanarium is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Its mission is to impart a better understanding of the ocean and the life within it\, and in so doing\, to lead us to a better understanding of ourselves. It celebrates the unique nature of Venice Beach through the arts and sciences.\n\n \n\nIn addition to the weekly exhibit at the pier\, the Venice Oceanarium conducts classes for after-school programs at community centers and schools\, organizes oceanographic field trips\, nature walks\, lectures\, the famous 30-hour reading of Herman Melville?s Moby Dick at the Venice breakwater and the highly anticipated annual Grunion Party.
