A Conversation with Councilmember Paul Koretz on City Contracts for Small Business
Councilmember Paul Koretz Discusses His $40 Million Proposition on the June Ballot, Voters Will Decide If Los Angeles City Will Prioritize 40 Million Dollars in Government Contracts for Local Businesses....
Make Your City Dollars Work for You!
If you own a small business in the city of Los Angeles you should not miss this opportunity to see how to make city dollars work for you. Councilmember Paul Koretz Discusses his $40 Million Proposition on the June Ballot. Los Angeles is one of the ten most expensive places in the country to do business, creating a climate in which local businesses, large and small, are forced to compete against businesses from all over the world that have lower labor and living costs when it comes to procuring contracts from the city of Los Angeles. Only 7 percent of local businesses secure one-quarter of one percent - or $96,000 out of a potential $41.5 million in contracting dollars awarded by the city of LA for all kinds of outsourcing - large and small.
Councilman Koretz has spent over a decade working with the Mayor and the City Council to place a proposition ON the June 7, 2022 primary election to amend the City Charter to specify that local LA City businesses will now be given "priority" consideration over any and all businesses throughout the world that regularly compete and win lucrative contracts from the city of Los Angeles.
