Electric Lodge: Stories of Eggs and Flour
Stories of Eggs and Flour is a one-woman show that portrays the life of Rosa Falleri Mencagli — grandmother, storyteller, and pasta-maker.
Between handfuls of flour, Rosa travels through time and space, reliving significant moments of her life. She transforms from a woman in the Second World War, to a child, to a mature woman in the countryside, to a young lover, and finally becomes a grandmother, Nonna Rosa. All this while making fettucine!
Stories of Eggs & and Flour is written and performed by Rosa’s granddaughter, Gaia Mencagli, an Italian-Danish theater artist who completed her degree at Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre in California in 2018 and previously studied in Denmark and Italy.
