Enroll Now: Venice Arts Youth After-School Workshops
As always, we're offering:
- A 24-week curriculum in photography, filmmaking, animation, and comics, with classes at the beginning to Advanced Studies levels.
- A culminating exhibition and film screening (virtual or in-person).
- Creative Pathways, including 1:1 counseling, support for competitions and awards, paid internships, and other activities that support college success and creative career development.
- Homework help + access to our equipment to support school learning.
- College Lab, a new program for our college-going alumni, allowing them to schedule time at Venice Arts to attend school and work on their personal projects.
FALL: September 14, 2020 - December 11, 2020
[No classes: November 23-27, 2020 - Thanksgiving Break]
Classes are designed around a 24-week curriculum with 12 weeks in the Fall and 12 weeks in the Spring, culminating in an exhibition and film screening. We encourage young people to enroll for the full academic year.
This year, in light of the global pandemic, we are offering a “hybrid” model with both in-person and remote learning. “A” classes start in-person and “B” classes start remotely, switching every three weeks so that, over 12 weeks, each young person receives a total of 6 weeks in-person learning and 6 weeks remote learning.

For all others, workshops are $550 per 12-week session. Advanced Studies classes are $1100 per 12-week session, and meet in-person for 3 hours during in-person blocks. Advanced Studies’ students are offered equipment on loan, dedicated lab time, and receive one-on-one mentoring. We do our best to accommodate all children; however, low-income families receive priority.
