Volunteers Needed - MDR Historical Society
History preserved…history remembered is the mission of the Marina del Rey Historical Society. Founded in 2007, we continue to collect historical documents, artifacts, publications, photographs, data, and other information relating to the development of Marina del Rey. You can view the Marina’s history exhibited at our gallery and on our website and displayed at local businesses and various events. The Marina del Rey Historical Society is essential in creating a unique resource of cultural and educational materials to promote its historical value for community pride.
Currently, our archives include the areas of Marina del Rey, Playa del Rey, Playa Vista, Venice, Ocean Park, Santa Monica, LAX (Mine’s Field), and San Pedro.
The Historical Society is looking for outgoing individuals interested in donating their time in sharing their expertise and learning the history of the Marina to help us expand our knowledge and vision in service to our community.
