Caring Community: Los Angeles Food Bank - Let's Feed L.A.
April 28, 2020
From County of Los Angeles:
Let's Feed L.A.
The County of Los Angeles is committed to feeding our most vulnerable communities during the Coronavirus pandemic. We are mobilizing public agencies, nonprofits, and volunteers to provide meals to anyone in need during the months to come.
This portal connects those in need to those who can help. The food-insecure can find meal and voucher programs. Community organization can find out how to connect people to the goods that are most needed.
From Office of Sheila Kuehl:
Last Tuesday, the County officially launched its comprehensive Hunger Initiative to bring together and coordinate public agencies, nonprofits, and volunteers to provide meals to our most vulnerable residents so long as the Safer At Home directive remains in effect.
This portal connects people in need to people who can help. Those who are food-insecure can find meal and voucher programs in their neighborhood, and community organizations can get information on how to connect their neighbors to the goods and services they need.
More than ever, we need to take care of each other. I'm proud that LA County is stepping up to make sure that no Angeleno goes hungry during this crisis.
