Madeline Di Nonno, President and CEO of the Geena Davis Institute, lead a panel at the White House

On Wednesday, May 1st, Madeline Di Nonno, President and CEO of the Geena Davis Institute, spoke at the White House Summit on STEMM Equity & Excellence about the importance of entertainment media to encourage youth to pursue STEMM education and careers. Madeline moderated a panel discussion with Dr. Rae Wynn-Grant, host of Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom on NBC, and Sandy Roberts, the Education Program Manager at Science Friday.

In a press release, the Biden-Harris Administration also announced that the Geena Davis Institute will serve as an SOA anchor partner, coordinating efforts across partners aimed at ensuring depictions of STEMM professionals in entertainment and media align with national demographics and illustrate the importance of diversity in STEMM.
