Venice Chamber of Commerce,
Our sworn and civilian personnel are dedicated to our mission, the Department and the communities we serve. Pacific Area officers and detectives will continue to be highly visible in the community and available to respond to your law enforcement related calls for service without interruption. We remain focused on the prevention and reduction of crimes within the community.
Additionally, at the direction of the Chief of Police Michael Moore, we have deployed half of our Detective resources to the field to assist with site security within Pacific Area to include the LAUSD PODS.
In order to reduce the potential to spread the virus, we are encouraging members of the public to report certain crimes through the Department’s Community Online Reporting Service (CORS). Crimes which may be reported through CORS include; harassing phone calls, lost property, vandalism, theft, hit and run traffic accidents.

It is the mission of the LAPD to safeguard the lives and property of the people we serve. To reduce the incidence and fear of crime, and to enhance public safety while working with the diverse communities to improve their quality of life. Our mandate is to do so with honor and integrity, while at all times conducting ourselves with the highest ethical standards to maintain public confidence.

Please continue to call “911” for emergencies or crimes in progress. Community members who would like to report a non-emergency should call “877-ASK-LAPD” or “877-275-5273”.

Captain Brian Morrison and I want to thank you for continued support and patience as we get through this event together.

Commanding Officer
Pacific Area

Steve Embrich, Captain
