About Us
Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Los Angeles (BGCMLA) is a scalable and sustainable solution to reversing the opportunity crises facing some of the most vulnerable youth in marginalized neighborhoods of Los Angeles. BGCMLA is designed to increase programmatic offerings and to serve a more significant number of youth in the areas of Metro Los Angeles. Our mission is to create a safe space that empowers all Club members to Learn, Explore, Achieve, and Dream (L.E.A.D.).
The individual Clubs which presently make up BGCMLA have a deep history of impact in the most vulnerable areas of Los Angeles County. Our collaboration of Clubs includes the following Boys & Girls Clubs: Challengers, Watts/Willowbrook, Bell Gardens, and Venice. We also provide youth programming at Venice High School, Jordan High School, Coeur d’Alene Elementary School, and Mark Twain Middle School.
