Beyond Baroque: Four L.A. Writers
Beyond Baroque warmly welcomes four L.A. writers: Deirdre Gainor, Tom Laichas, Susan Suntree, Zoey Zimmerman.
DEIRDRE GAINOR’s fiction has been included in LA Lit Crawl and LA’s New Short Fiction Series as well as the Marathon Review, Literary Yard, and elsewhere. She is currently at work on a series of connected short stories related to prison.
TOM LAICHAS’s first collection of poetry, Empire of Eden, is slated for a 2020 release by High Window Press (UK). His recent poems have appeared in Masque and Spectacle, Ambit, Big Window Review, Courtship of the Winds and elsewhere. Tom is currently at work on a second collection of poetry, Three Hundred Streets of Venice California.
SUSAN SUNTREE’s poetry and essays are widely published. Her most notable work includes the award-winning Sacred Sites: The Secret History of Southern California and the frequently performed choral arrangement of the Declaration of Human Rights, Quilt of Hope. Susan has just completed Traveler, her newest collection of poetry, and is writing a new collection along with a series of essays due in 2020.
ZOEY ZIMMERMAN’s stage adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s The Wind in the Willows is frequently performed in the U.S. and internationally. A writer, acting coach, director and performer, Zoey teaches theater at Crossroads School in Santa Monica. Zoey is currently developing the play Sno Whit in the Forest of Seven Gates.
