If you made under $67,000 in 2024, you may qualify for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) services. You could claim up to $10,000 through the Federal and California Earned Income Tax Credits (EITC), along with other credits like the Young Child Tax Credit or Foster Youth Tax Credit.

What to Bring to Your Appointment:

• If married, both taxpayers must be present.
• Photo ID for yourself and spouse.
• Social Security card and/or ITIN numbers for all family members.
• All W2 forms, 1099 forms, etc.
• Copy of your prior year tax return.
• Information on your cash income/expenses.
• Tuition fees and expenses (Form 1098T).
• Total paid to daycare providers and their ID number.
• Bank account and routing number for direct deposit.
