First Lutheran Church of Venice, Venice Moms and Ecole Claire Fontaine invite the community to the Grand Opening of the church’s outdoor playground. The playground will be open, FREE of charge, to children and their caregivers every Saturday morning from 10am to 12 noon.

Located on the Church’s landmark property at 815 Venice Blvd, the playground offers children a place to slide, climb, play basketball, kick soccer balls, and build castles in the sandbox. The Grand Opening on Saturday, February 18th, will also feature free lemonade, coffee and cookies.

“There are few playgrounds in our neighborhood and we are excited to make ours available. Many families with children will benefit from having a safe enclosed play space and this is another opportunity for local families to come together as a community" -- Pastor John Palka.

VENICE MOMS [www.venicemoms.com] started in the Fall of 2002 by moms seeking to create a community for gatherings, information sharing and parenting support. The group originally met regularly but eventually transitioned into primarily an online forum for communication. Moderator Regan Kibbee is excited for this weekly opportunity to regularly meet up again in person!
