Mishkon Tephilo - The 2026 Mishkon Gala

Join us as we celebrate our 2026 Gala honorees, Ann and Barry Steinberg and Shiri and Yoni Sassoon. Their families have been part of the Mishkon community for decades, with two generations having attended our preschool. The evening will celebrate L’Dor v’Dor (from generation to generation) with cocktails, dinner, and dancing. Everyone else welcome!

The Mishkon Gala will feature an open bar, and diners will stop at various stations to choose among sushi, salmon, chicken kabobs, various salads, and many vegetarian options.

Mishkon Tephilo is the historic heart of Jewish life in Venice, located a few blocks from the ocean. We are the oldest operating synagogue on the Westside of Los Angeles, and we warmly embrace interfaith families and converts to Judaism.

Our honorees, Barry and Ann Steinberg joined Mishkon Tephilo when their son, Zak, was 6 weeks old. Ann worked on numerous committees, helped found the preschool at Mishkon Tephilo, and was a board member and president of Mishkon.

The Preschool at Mishkon provides a nurturing environment influenced by Jewish traditions, where children of all backgrounds can develop to their fullest potential. Our preschool's approach to early childhood education emphasizes belonging, responsibility, and care for others. Children learn how to be thoughtful members of a diverse and caring community. We believe that these foundational values create a strong base for every child to grow with confidence and joy.

Some ticket packages include a personal message/ad in our tribute book, which will be beautifully bound and presented to Ann, Barry, Shiri, and Yoni at the event. To set your expectations as high as possible, view the fabulous 2024 tribute book that Mishkon's design team created here. Ticket packages may also include full tables and individual tickets. All packages allow you to purchase tickets to attend our Gala, sponsor the bar, donate tickets for Mishkon staff or Mishkon members who need financial assistance, and more.

Tickets for the 2026 Mishkon Gala are $195 per person. Your ticket will be held at will call.

All guests will have access to the open bar throughout the night, and dinner will be served during the event. The dress code is cocktail attire.
