SPARC Virtual Community Yoga + Dream Lab
Community Yoga + Dream Lab
Creativity and Wellness in Response to Coronavirus
In these times of anxiety and uncertainty, it is extremely important that we stay connected to our community. We must remain devoted to nurturing one another and continue to have access to resources that allow us to feel supported, establish balance, and remain grounded. We also must continue to live out best quality life, which means making space for creativity and play.
On Tuesday mornings from 9:30am to 11:15am SPARC will be hosting an ongoing, online community circle, where we will be cultivating tools to calm our nervous system and build community through movement, imagination and sharing.
We will begin each gathering with a brief check in, follow by a practice in breath work and yoga led by Stacy TenHouten. These practices are extremely effective in not only lowering our level of stress, but keeping out immune system strong. Once we are in our bodies, we then open up the Dream Laboratory where artist and depth psychology, Mercedes Gertz (Ph.D.) will introduce us to the symbolic language of our dreams. We will then work to use or imagination to transform that material into poetry, music, and performance. At the end of each session, 15 minutes will be left open for discussion, to share resources, or just listen.
These classes are offered as an energy exchange between us. We are dedicated to continuing to serve our community through these challenging times. We ask that you consider making a suggested donation between $5.00 - $20.00 to support SPARC so that we may remain a resource for the community when everything returns to normal - which it will!
For the first five donations of $100 or more, Stacy TenHouten will lead a 30-minute private session just for you! Email email@example.com for more information
