SPY Community 5K
Run, walk, bike, skate and more for youth experiencing homelessness in West LA on Saturday, December 5th. We invite you to participate in your own neighborhood, wherever, however to help raise awareness and funds for our unhoused youth.
Safe Place for Youth (SPY)'s mission is to empower young people experiencing homelessness to thrive by providing lasting, community driven solutions that address racial and social inequity.
Each year, we serve over 1,500 unhoused and at-risk youth, and in order to continue our life saving services, we need your help.

Here is how to get involved:
Step 1: Click here to register as an individual, a team, or join an already existing team. You’ll also receive a SPY bandana and t-shirt when you register. After you register make sure to claim your page, check out these instructions for editing your page.
Step 2: Start fundraising for SPY! Set a fundraising goal and check out this Digital Toolkit to help you raise funds and get friends and family involved in the 5K. All proceeds raised by Monday, December 7th will count towards your individual or team total. Win some limited edition SPY swag depending on how much you raise!
Step 3: Choose your activity and plan your route, in your own neighborhood, in your own timezone, wherever, however. We will also share some SPY suggested routes ahead of the event.
Step 4: Race Day! On December 5th please wear your SPY swag and snap a picture of you and your team and tag us with #SPY5K. We will also be holding a live SPY Stretch Session on Zoom before you get started! We’ll be stretching on Saturday 12/5 at 10:00am PT.
