Join 826LA for Poetry in the Park, a joyful potluck gathering at the Mar Vista Recreation Center on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 1-3 PM where participants can partake in fun outdoor activities and a poetry writing workshop led by a West LA-based writer Heidi Lepe. 

This event is intended to be a beginning of the year social mixer to celebrate the return of our regular programming! Everyone is welcome. Event activities include:

Poetry writing workshop
Potluck-style picnic
Connect4/Jenga/Volleyball/Cornhole
Sidewalk chalk 
Drawing/coloring books  

We welcome everyone to share delicious food from their culture (or a timeless classic), but please be sure to make others aware of common food allergens.

*Please note that although there will be tables present at the park, we recommend bringing any picnic blankets or chairs you may need for your group based on your preference.
