Disaster Update from Councilwoman Traci Park
From Councilwoman Traci Park:
I don't even know what to say, CD11. This has been a horrible week, and we are not yet out of the woods.
The Palisades Fire has spread into the Brentwood areas of Mandeville and Sullivan Canyons, with mandatory evacuations for all residents west of the 405 between Mulholland and Sunset, all the way to the beach. Evacuation warnings are also in place east of the 405 in the direction of Stone Canyon. For the most current information on evacuation zones, view the LAFD website or the CalFire website. Please continue to comply with all orders from fire and law enforcement officials.
Firefighting resources are on the ground and in the air, and we are using every available resource to protect lives and property in the Brentwood area. We are also working closely with the LAPD and National Guard to ensure adequate security presence in the neighborhood. Any crimes in progress should be immediately reported to 911.
Both our City Hall and Westchester field offices will remain open all weekend, and CD11 teams are on the ground in Brentwood and the Palisades, so please continue to reach out to us. We will do our best to get you information and answers as quickly as we can.
My team and I will continue moving every mountain we can until these fires are out, our community is safe, and we have the resources we need to recover and rebuild.
Stay safe, CD11. We are going to get through this together.
