Kevin McNulty Retires After 26 Years with Meals on Wheels West

Santa Monica, CA — (August 29, 2024) — Meals on Wheels West announces the retirement of Kevin McNulty, who has served as the organization's Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer for an impressive 26 years. Kevin's unwavering dedication and work ethic have been instrumental in advancing the organization's mission to reduce food insecurity, increase socialization and build community for vulnerable people in the coastal communities we serve, including Santa Monica, Venice, Marina del Rey, Del Rey, Pacific Palisades, and Malibu.

This week, Kevin was honored by the Santa Monica City Council where he received a commendation from Santa Monica Mayor Phil Brock and the entire City Council. During the ceremony, Mayor Brock expressed deep appreciation for Kevin's years of service.

"Kevin McNulty is being recognized for his long-term service to Meals on Wheels West and his unwavering work ethic, which contributed to the organization's ability to fulfill its fundamental mission to end food insecurity, reduce isolation, and build community…On behalf of the entire City Council, I commend Kevin for his outstanding service and commitment to the well-being of our residents."

Reflecting on his career and the impact of his work, Kevin McNulty shared heartfelt remarks: "Thank you for all that you've given me over these years. I have enjoyed working with the [City] staff over the years, the 26 years. It's an amazing staff that is willing to listen and to be part of the solution." He added, "And that's one of the things that I enjoyed being a part of Team Meals. Being part of the solution...I challenge anybody and everybody to drive down any street, that they do on a regular basis, and wonder who it is behind those windows or doors that have never been opened. The Hidden Hunger and isolation of our community. And I love being a part of that solution. I want to thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of the community."

Meals on Wheels West’s entire staff, clients, volunteers, and board, extends our deepest gratitude to Kevin McNulty for his years of service, leadership, and commitment. Kevin has been a vital part of our family, and his contributions will continue to inspire us as we carry forward the mission he so passionately supported.
